What to include
Four lines that get you a real price.
“How much is a truck?” gets a range. These four lines get a number you can put in a budget.
Where it lands
Port and inland destination. Freight, transit and clearing cost change the landed price more than the FOB figure does.
What it carries
Payload, material and body type. A 25 t tipper on laterite and a 40 t container tractor are two different vehicles.
How many, and when
One unit or a container load, and the date you need it working. Quantity changes the loading plan; the date changes the build slot.
Steering and fuel
Right-hand or left-hand drive, and the sulphur level of the diesel you can actually buy. Both are fixed at order.
